The global Swiss wealth management bank Lombard Odier revealed the results of its study on wealthy Western expatriates in the UAE in 2024
The study showed that 41% of the participants intend to retire in Dubai, and this percentage rises to 59% for those over fifty.
The main results of the survey, which targeted 150 wealthy expatriates from Western countries, and focused on the needs, goals, and experiences of wealthy expatriates living in the region, indicated an increasing demand for advanced wealth management advisory services, due to limited familiarity with local regulations and current procedures adopted for wealth management planning.
This is alongside an increasing desire among wealthy individuals to stay or retire in the region.
Why Dubai in particular?
The study explained that Google search analysis shows that Dubai now tops the wish list of desired destinations for expatriates from 60 countries, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, due to exceptional living standards, and abundant job and investment opportunities.
Dubai Real Estate... One of the main attraction factors
While Dubai's economy is significantly diversified, real estate remains one of the main attractions for both investors and residents.
The real estate market in Dubai is characterized by its diversity and continuous development, offering various residential and commercial options to suit different needs and tastes.
These options include luxury residential towers, integrated residential complexes, luxury villas, as well as commercial spaces and business offices. Additionally, Dubai offers advanced infrastructure, modern facilities, and high-quality building standards, making it an ideal destination for real estate investment and upscale living.
In addition to that, the safe and stable environment, and the encouraging government policies that support real estate investment and protect investors' rights, make Dubai one of the most attractive real estate destinations in the world.
