The real estate market in Dubai recorded exceptional sales in August 2024, reaching 47.82 billion dirhams, making it the highest August sales ever and the second-highest monthly sales in the emirate’s history, after July sales which reached 50.78 billion dirhams.
These figures come as the real estate market continues to achieve record-breaking accomplishments month after month.
The period from January to August 2024 also witnessed sales valued at 330 billion dirhams, a figure that surpasses the total sales of the years 2020, 2021, and 2022, except for 2023, which was an exceptional year with sales reaching 400 billion dirhams.
These numbers demonstrate the great confidence investors have in Dubai’s real estate market, where the market saw many major deals exceeding 10 million dirhams in value.
These figures also reflect the strong performance of the UAE economy in general, which drives increasing demand for luxury properties and hotel residential rentals. With the sector booming in the summer of 2024, demand rose for residential units near beaches and entertainment facilities, further boosting optimism that this boom will continue even after 2024, supported by population growth and an improved investment environment in the emirate.
What are the reasons behind the attractiveness of Dubai’s real estate sector?
Dubai’s real estate sector is witnessing increasing demand from both investors and residents, making it a distinguished destination for real estate investment. There are several reasons why Dubai attracts investors, including its strategic geographical location connecting East and West, making it a global commercial hub. The emirate also enjoys advanced infrastructure, including modern airports, world-class ports, and advanced roads, enhancing accessibility and investment opportunities.
Additionally, Dubai offers a business-friendly regulatory environment, with legal and financial facilities that attract foreign investments, whether in real estate or other sectors. The presence of a range of large and luxurious real estate projects also enhances the market’s appeal, offering diverse investment opportunities for buyers, whether for personal freehold or for investment in long-term rentals.
The high quality of life and the variety of entertainment services also make Dubai a preferred destination for living and working, supporting the continuous demand for real estate and encouraging developers to launch more projects to meet this growing demand.
